The School

Mabraska is one of the best Spanish schools in the Caribbean and is conveniently located, closed to the vibrant business center of the capital city, Santo Domingo.
Beaches, rivers, and other natural attractions are also only minutes away.
Mabraska teaches Spanish with a philosophy of personal focus by adapting a program to your needs. Classes are a combination of intensity and spontaneity, which familiarizes students with the language structure so they can communicate with others in the most natural way

At first, many years ago, the school was an English school, and the teachers were English speaking people who would come from all over the world in cultural exchange programs. These teachers felt motivated to learn more about the language and culture of the place where they were living, so it was necessary to hire a qualified group of teachers to teach Spanish to the teachers, and certain academic rules were established .With the years some other teaching Policies were added due to the diferent needs of the students .

Today Mabraska is managed by accredited linguists that work with young professionals.
The philosophy of the school can be described as: natural, spontaneous, and efficient learning.

Teaching System

The Teaching system consists of a combination of 3 basic elements, Which are fundamental in learning a language

-Pronunciation:
Taught by language therapists, and focuses on the acoustic side of the language and how it differs from others. A good pronunciation is a good beginning because it prepares students to progress to other phases of language development

-Grammar:
The practical use of the grammatical elements instead of the usual focus on long definitions and empty theory, is a guarantee to a fluent speech.

-Conversation:
Constant practice is essential to achievement. This phase starts as soon as you begin at MABRASKA .These 3 elements conform to the teaching format, but it is not a rigid profile; the system itself is modified depending on the students needs. The program is also reinforced with a wide range of teaching aids: books, cassettes, videos, computer programs etc.

We at Mabraska Know that our students come to our island to learn and have a good time, so we strive to fulfill their expectations
